Arknights Latest Tier List: Casters, Guards, Defenders, and Medics

Classes in Arknights

At the very beginning you should know that the operators in Arknights are categorized into 8 different classes:

 

• Caster
• Guard
• Defender
• Medic
• Specialists
• Sniper
• Supporter
• Vanguard

 

In the specific scenario, operators from different classes need to synergize with each other in the party. Now we will broke down the recommended tier list class by class for your information.

This article will summarize the first four categories of operators: Casters, Guards, Defenders, and Medics.

 

Caster Tier List

Casters attack enemies with their Originium Arts, dealing Arts damage instead of the usual Physical damage. This makes Casters a viable option when facing enemies with high DEF as they typically have little to no RES. While having good ATK, Casters have high DP cost and their attack interval is quite high, making them not as efficient as Snipers against fast-moving enemies and those with RES. Nevertheless, Casters will prove their worth when used correctly and kept away from ranged enemies due to their rather low HP and DEF.

 

• Tier A: Carnelian, Dusk, Ceobe, Eyjafjalla, Ifrit, Mostima
• Tier B: Amiya, Lava the Purgatory, Click, Haze, Leizi, Gitano, Iris, Mint
• Tier C: Corroserum, Passenger, Skyfire, Greyy, 12F, Tomimi, Leonhardt, Steward
• Tier D: Absinthe, Durin, Lava, Beeswax, Nightmare

 

Guard Tier List

Guards have high HP and ATK which gives them high DPS output. They often have good synergy with the other classes, especially Defenders who can block enemies to be pummeled by Guards or with each other to deal even more damage with coordinated attacks.

 

• Tier A: La Pluma, Blaze, Hellagur, Lappland, Mountain, SilverAsh, Skadi, Specter, Surtr
• Tier B: Thorns, Tequila, Ch'en, Pallas, Akafuyu, Amiya (Guard), Astesia, Broca, Cutter, Flamebringer, Flint, Franka, Indra, Savage
• Tier C: Tachanka, Sideroca, Mousse, Jackie, Frostleaf, Melantha, Matoimaru, Ayerscape, ‘k, Popukar, Estelle, Utage, Whislash, Arene
• Tier D: Dobermann, Swire, Castle-3, Midnight, Conviction, Beehunter

 

Defender Tier List

Defenders have high HP and DEF and can block up to three enemies, with few exceptions. However, they have low ATK and (with certain exceptions) a very short attack range – on the same tile as themselves. For this reason, Defenders are best placed in front of a formation to hold enemies back, draw enemy fire, and protect friendly units behind them.

 

• Tier A: Eunectes, Mudrock, Nian, Hoshiguma, Blemishine, Saria, Liskarm
• Tier B: Ashlock, Nearl, Bison, Hung Asbestos, Blitz, Cuora, Croissant
• Tier C: Gummy, Bubble, Dur-Nar, Noir Corne, Heavyrain
• Tier D: Matterhorn, Beagle, Cardigan, Spot, Vulcan

 

Medic Tier List

Instead of attacking enemies, Medics restore the HP of friendly units, making their use indispensable to keeping friendlies on the field and gives them more time to hold the line. Medics restore HP equal to their ATK. Because all Medics but a select few are incapable of attacking enemies and have low HP and DEF, Medics should be kept safe from ranged enemies, who can and will attack them (not helping that Terra does not have an equivalent to the Geneva Conventions in Earth).

 

• Tier A: Kal'tsit, Ptilopsis, Shining, Warfarin, Tuye
• Tier B: Nightingale, Breeze, Silence, Sussurro, Purestream, Whisperain
• Tier C: Folinic, Myrrh, Mulberry, Hibiscus, Perfumer
• Tier D: Ceylon, Gavial, Ansel, Lancet-2
