How to fix the issue that the storage space of the MuMuPlayer is insufficient?
How to Fix the "Insufficient Disk Space" Error in MuMuPlayer?
When launching or running MuMuPlayer, if the page displays "Insufficient disk space.", it means that the disk where the Android device is stored does not have enough free space. Follow the methods below in order to free up disk space, then restart the Android device.
Method 1: Free Up Space on the Relevant Disk
- Press
Win+Eto open File Explorer. - Click "This PC", right-click the disk where you want to clean up unnecessary files, and select "Properties".
- On the Properties page, click "Disk Cleanup" to start the cleanup process.
- Windows will scan the disk. Once the scan is complete, Windows will display the files that can be cleaned up. Select the files you want to delete and click "OK".
Method 2: Clean Up the System Temporary Folder
Press the Win key and R key simultaneously to open the Run window. Enter %temp% and press Enter to open the Temp folder. Delete the files in the folder.
Note: The files in the Temp folder are system temporary files and can be deleted. If a file cannot be deleted, select "Skip". If you accidentally delete a file, you can restore it from the Recycle Bin.
Method 3: Use Windows Storage Cleanup
- Open Windows Settings and go to "System" > "Storage".
- Click "Temporary files" and wait for Windows to complete the scan.
- Review the file types and the amount of space they occupy, then select the files you no longer need.
- Click "Remove files" and wait for the cleanup to complete.
- Empty the Recycle Bin, then check the remaining disk space.
Before selecting the "Downloads" folder, make sure it does not contain any installation packages, documents, or other personal files you need to keep.
Method 4: Manage Large Personal Files
Check folders such as Downloads, Videos, and Desktop. Delete large files you no longer need, or move them to another disk with enough free space. After deleting files, empty the Recycle Bin to actually free up disk space.
Method 5: Remove Unused Android Devices and Apps
If MuMuPlayer is using most of the disk space, uninstall apps you no longer use from your Android devices, or delete unused Android devices after backing up their data.
- Data backup method: How to Back Up MuMuPlayer Data Files
Deleting an Android device will erase all data on that device. Do not directly delete or modify MuMuPlayer data files through File Explorer.
After Freeing Up Disk Space
Return to the error page and click "Check Again". If the available disk space meets the requirements for running MuMuPlayer, the system will restart the current Android device.
Still Not Resolved?
If there is sufficient disk space but the error still appears, open the menu in the upper-right corner of MuMuPlayer and select "Problem Diagnosis". Submit the diagnostic information, the remaining free space on each disk, and a screenshot of the error page to online customer service.
For details, click the menu in the upper-right corner of the emulator and select "Help Center", then "Problem Diagnosis".
How to Fix the "Insufficient Available Memory" or "Abnormal Memory Settings" Error in MuMuPlayer?
When launching a MuMu Android device, if the page displays "Abnormal memory settings.", it means that the system is temporarily unable to allocate the configured memory to the current Android device. Follow the methods below in order.
Method 1: Reduce the Memory Allocated to the Current Android Device
- Open "Device Settings" > "Performance", reduce the memory allocation, and save the settings. It is recommended to reduce it by one level first.
- Restart the Android device.
Method 2: Close Unnecessary Programs and Other Android Devices
- Save any files and data you are currently working on.
- Close browsers, games, office software, and other Android devices that you are not currently using.
- Press
Ctrl+Shift+Escto open Task Manager and check memory usage on the "Processes" page. - Close programs that are confirmed to be unnecessary and are using a large amount of memory, then start the current Android device again.
Do not arbitrarily end Windows system processes that you are unfamiliar with.
Method 3: Enable Automatic Management of Paging File Size
If the Android device still cannot start after reducing its memory allocation and closing background programs, check the Windows paging file settings:
- Press
Win+R, entersysdm.cpl, and click "OK". - In "System Properties", switch to the "Advanced" tab and click "Settings" under the "Performance" section.
- In "Performance Options", switch to the "Advanced" tab and click "Change" under the "Virtual memory" section.
- Select "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives".
- Click "OK" to save the settings, then restart the computer.
- After the computer restarts, launch MuMuPlayer again.
Windows may require administrator privileges when you change this setting. Do not select "No paging file", and do not manually set the paging file size unless you are familiar with your system configuration.
Method 4: Restart Your Computer
If the paging file is already set to automatic management, save your current work and restart the computer. This allows Windows to release memory resources that are temporarily unavailable for allocation. Then start MuMuPlayer again.
Still Not Resolved?
If the issue persists after completing the steps above, open the menu in the upper-right corner of MuMuPlayer and select "Problem Diagnosis". Submit the diagnostic information, the memory configuration of the current Android device, and a screenshot of the error page to online customer service.
For details, click the menu in the upper-right corner of the emulator and select "Help Center", then "Problem Diagnosis".
