Mobile Legends Patch 1.9.48 Update in January 2025: New Hero Kalea
This new heroine takes on the role of a supporter/fighter and stands out with her unique abilities and impressive visuals. Her design is inspired by aquatic elements, and her skills focus on sustainability, crowd control, and mobility. Kalea offers versatility that allows her to adapt to different roles during a match. Her release is planned for March 2025 on the original server. Additionally, the new hero Wu Zetian will also be introduced, who is already available on the Chinese server.
Mobile Legends Patch 1.9.48 Update in January 2025: Adjustments to Existing Heroes
1. Selena (Buffed)
Selena receives a buff in this update. The developers aim to improve Selena both as a Jungler and a Mid-Laner. For this purpose, the passive damage of her marks against creeps and minions has been increased. Additionally, the control over her abilities 1 and 2 in the Elf and Abyss forms has been optimized.

2. Leomord (Buffed)
Additionally, Leomord has also been buffed. Leomord struggles against opponents with more than 50% health. To assist him, developers have increased the damage of his Ability 1 in human form against such targets. This allows him to weaken stronger foes more quickly and use his passive ability to secure kills with critical basic attacks. Besides, the movement speed of Barbiel in the Ultimate has been increased, making it easier for Leomord to quickly enter the mounted state.

3. Rafaela (Buffed)

4. Reworked Hanzo (nerfed)
Hanzo remains too strong, so the developers are reducing his strength in the mid-game.

1. Double Diamonds Event
Starting January 1st, the first purchase of diamonds from certain tiers ( 50, 150, 250, and 500 diamonds) in the recharge menu will be rewarded with double diamonds.
