1. Frosty Funland

The main theme of the update is Frosty Funland. It is a frosty playground where snow falls, and skating is fun. Also, players get to enjoy the presence of penguins at Frosty Funland.

2. Map Changes & New Loot Mechanics

Apart from the winter mode, there are other changes. The first of them is the new boatyard in Erangel. You will see that the old Rozhok-water town has been redesigned into a high-class area. Now, the zone is filled with hangars, vertical structures, and warehouses.

In terms of looting, there are loot trucks. These are mobile supply vehicles that roam the map. If you destroy them, they drop their loot. However, you must be ready to fight for it.

Similarly, there are carry crates. After eliminating an enemy, you can pick up crates and transport them instead of opening them on the spot.

The in-game supply shop has new updates as well. Now, there are “Advanced Firearm Packs” and “Respawn Packs” for recovery or upgrading mid-game. Also, there are energy berries that restore health and energy.

3. AI Companion & Themed NPCs

The new 4.1 update introduces PUBG Mobile’s first AI teammate. His name is PonWin, and he is a samurai. Notably, the penguin helps in fights and provides support for damages or healing.

4. Weapon Balance & Combat Tuning

The game comes with Assault Rifles (ARs). However, long-range damage drops off more than before. Now, bullet speed reduces over distance, which means that prolonged long-range duels favor players who have skilled aim.

Also, shotguns such as DBS, S12K, M1014, S686, S1897, and NS2000, have reduced overall pellet damage. Similarly, SKS, SLR, and Mk14 now have better stability.
