King is one of the most versatile characters in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. King is a hybrid hybrid unit and can play both damage and support roles depending on what weapon you use. Earlier the game was scheduled to be launched on 28th January 2026 but now it has been delayed to sometime in March 2026. So currently only the CBT version of the game is available. King can use 3 different weapons - Wand, Book, and Staff - and each weapon completely changes his playstyle. Weapon Progression and Role Overview

At first you will start with a Wand and later you will be able to unlock Book and Staff at Mastery Level 30. Each weapon completely shifts his role.

• Wand: Damage-focused Bloom stacking build
• Book: Tanky support and healer
• Staff: Earth-element buffer

King is mainly a support and utility character but he can also deal strong damage if you use the right setup.

Wand Build

The Wand build focuses on the Bloom mechanic. Using his passive every time you attack you get 20% chance to apply Bloom for 10 seconds. You will get Bloom as soon as you use any skill. Each stack gives 1% Attack, and at 20 stacks it converts into Full Bloom which gives you 35% Attack and 10% armor penetration.

His normal attack is a 4-hit combo that can deal upto 119% damage. Using his special attack you can deal 136% damage and instantly get one Bloom stack. Using his main skill Holy Sword you can deal 190% damage and get some extra Bloom stacks based on enemies hit. When you activate Full Bloom then you will get 50% damage boost.

Using his ultimate Shining Blaze you can summon a giant flower that deals 306% damage. When Full Bloom is active you will deal 60% more damage and 50% critical rate.

By upgrading Awakenings you can increase damage potential even more. In Tier 5 Bloom chance will increase from 20% to 100% after using Special Attack. In Tier 6 Holy Sword damage will be boosted by 60%. In Tier 7 you can get 2 Bloom stacks when you use a skill. In Tier 9 the ultimate damage will be boosted by 50%. In Tier 10 you will get a damage-over-time effect which can deal 15% damage every 0.5 seconds.

Playstyle

Maintain Bloom stacks, trigger Full Bloom and use Holy Sword and Ultimate during burst windows. If you want to use King as a DPS then this is the best method. 

Book Build

When you use this build then King becomes a frontline protector. His passive reduces all team damage taken by 20%. If King’s HP falls below 30% then his healing power increases by 50%.

Using normal attacks you can deal 99% damage and get a 20% chance to apply Mark of the Forest. Using this you can increase damage taken by 1% per stack or 3% for Earth damage. You can even stack it upto 10 times.

Using Protector of the Forest you can deal 166% damage and apply Mark of the Forest. Using his special attack you can reduce incoming damage by 20% and increase healing efficiency. When it is active and you get hit then you will automatically trigger a counter attack that will deal 99% damage and also heal King for 30% of his Attack.

When you use his ultimate your whole team will get Forest Protection for 20 seconds. Also every 2 seconds some HP will be recovered which will be equal to 30% of his attack.

By upgrading Awakenings you can increase survivability even more. In Tier 5 you will get reaction immunity and 30% damage reduction. In Tier 7 you will be able to apply 2 Marks and restore Magic Gauge when you use a skill. In Tier 9 the ultimate healing will increase from 30% to 50%. In Tier 10 you will get 10 seconds extra buff and 20% more defense.

Playstyle

Stay in stance during heavy damage phases, apply Marks for team DPS and time your ultimate properly for emergency shielding. 

Staff Build

This build is best if you have an Earth focused team. King’s passive increases ATK and DEF of all Earth heroes by 10% per Magic Point.

His normal attack is a bit weak and deals only 77% damage in 3 hits. Using his Special Attack you can restore 100 Magic Gate per second and boost defense by 6% per stack for upto 5 stacks.

Using Fairy Power you will get the Forest Fairy buff which increases Earth damage by 20% for 30 seconds. Using his ultimate Sharp Slash you can perform multiple hits that deal 245% total damage and also restore Magic Gauge per hit.

By upgrading Awakenings you can make these buffs even better. In Tier 5 the damage buff becomes 40% and Magic charge increases by 30%. In Tier 7 you can restore a lot of Burst and Magic Gauge. In Tier 10 you will be able to boost Earth damage by 30% for 5 seconds.

Playstyle

Maintain buffs constantly, feed Magic Gauge to allies and support Earth carries like Diane.
