Step 1

Whichever gear you need to upgrade, the primary thing you'll have to do is select a student character and allot the gear to that student by equipping the character. 

Step 2

When you're done with it, you will have to see your materials that are consumable, and utilize them like fodder materials. A straightforward way to do that is by using the button called ‘auto select’. After that, you pay the credit amount you are needed to pay for gear upgradation. But there's a catch to that. A gear can only be upgraded to its cap limit in the related tier.  

For example, basic gear like Tier 1 can only be upgraded up to the tenth level. To get to the twentieth level, your gear also must be Tier 2. Not only this, you will also see an increase in the quantity of fodder materials. 

Step 3

If you're done with whatever we have instructed till now, you will be in need of increasing the cap of your level. For that, you will have to upgrade your tier. Then only will your gear upgrade. But the tier upgrade will need blueprints which are specifically meant for that particular gear. For example, fifteen blueprints for Tier 2, and twenty for Tier 3. To know the stage on which you can farm a blueprint, you can tap on the respective blueprint.
