The Buffie System
Buffies are active kit modifiers that do not influence the stat boosts directly. It is an enhancement system that strengthens the brawlers' both the Gadgets and Star Powers, and their Hypercharge. On reaching 1000 Trophies, the Buffie System is unlocked for that Brawler.
- Gadget Buffie (Green Keychain): It upgrades both of a Brawler’s gadgets. This Buffie helps to transform any click-to-activate gadget into an aimable ability. At the same time, adding effects like ammo reduction or stuns.
- Star Buffie (Yellow Keychain): It upgrades both of a Brawler’s Star Powers. It generally enhances the weakness of a Star Power. For example, if a Star Power does not allow movement, the Buffie might allow slow movement while it is active.
- Hyper Buffie (Purple Keychain): This buffs the Hypercharge. It helps to deal extra damage when Hypercharge ends, in the form of a finisher.
Gameplay Guide
The update initially brings Buffies for 6 different Brawlers, which makes a total of 18 Buffies. The effect of Buffies on the gameplay of each Brawler is:
Shelly
Gadget Buffie upgrades her Fast Forward Gadget into a long, aimable dash that allows 0.5 seconds of invulnerability. Star Buffie adds a Slow effect to her main attack, which slows the enemy by 30% for 2 seconds. Hyper Buffie increases the projectile speed of her Super ability, which makes dodging her attacks impossible.
Colt
Buffie upgrades his Speed reloading into firing of two high-speed bullets, and gives these bullets an Ammo Steal ability, which allows him to gain 1 ammo, and the enemy loses 1 ammo on hitting the enemy. The Star Buffie increases his movement speed by 10% when he has full ammo. This allows faster lane rotation. Hyper Buffie increases Hypercharge duration by 2 seconds and allows to use of Super ability faster.
Spike
Buffies enhances her area denial. Gadget Buffie roots enemies if hit by all three needles from the gadget. Star Buffy speeds up the deployment of super to improve team fights and also increases the curve of needles for increased accuracy. Hyper Buffy allows the basic attacks to explode twice for more damage and increases the Hypercharge duration by 2 seconds.
Mortis
He receives a lot of technical changes, making him a great choice as a Brawler. The Gadget Buffie introduces a Bleed effect to the gadget, which stops enemies' healing for 4 seconds. He can also dash past an enemy and fire his spinner backwards. The Hyper Buffie creates a shadow clone to copy his next attack, which doubles his burst damage.
Frank
Frank can now emit a shockwave to destroy projectiles in front of him; this is a part of his Gadget Buffie. The Star Buffie provides him with Knockback Resistance. When Hypercharged, his Hyper Buffie adds a stun effect to his main attack for 5 seconds.
Emz
Friendzoner now has a larger radius. The Gdaget Buffie stuns enemies pushed by the Friendzoner for 1 second. After she dies, her poison cloud hovers for 2 seconds to offer area denial, as a result of the Hyper Buffie.
Chaos Drops
Chaos Drops brings a new level of excitement by replacing regular rewards. The main feature of Chaos Drop is its ability to multiply. When a Chaos Drop is selected, chances are that it will split into two and split further to a maximum of 8 drops. All the drops from the spilt have the same rarity. If we get a legendary Chaos Drop and it splits into two, we will have 3 Legendary Drops to open at the same time.
The Odds included in Chaos Drops are
- Base Split Chance: 20% chance per Chaos Drop tap.
- Buffie Drop Rate: There is an approx 15% chance to get a Buffie token from a Mythic or Legendary Chaos Drop. These tokens can then be used to redeem any Buffie of your choice, without using the Claw Machine.
- Ultra Rarity: A new tier above Legendary, "Ultra," contains exclusive cosmetics and massive resource bundles (e.g., 10,000 Coins). The chance for an Ultra is roughly 0.1%, but if it multiplies, it effectively breaks the game economy for that player.
New Skins
Along with the introduction of Buffies, this update also satisfies the players visually by bringing in Buffie Skins and other cosmetics. Once we collect all three Buffies for a Brawler, we get the option to buy skins for those Buffies. Each skin costs 5000 Bling or 149 Gems and comes in multiple themes like Gold, Diamond, and Shadow versions. Having skins improves the status by showing both the maxed Brawler and the resource investment on it.
The update also brings the Mecha Skins.
- Mecha Leon: A skin that changes his invisibility into a "Cloaking Field" visual effect.
