Clash of Clans Electro Dragon Mass Totem Attack Guide
Who doesn’t want to have an army composition that can shatter any base effectively and efficiently? Well, everyone does, and that’s why we are here with the new Electro Dragon Mass Totem Attack Strategy that can destroy any base as long as it has access to dragons and totem spells. It is one of the easiest and the most destructible ones in the game.
As long as you can implement the whole thing perfectly, you can ensure that your opponent won’t have enough defenses to counter your attack because it's simply broken. This strategy is used even by the top players in both Clan War and Clan League, so it's an approved one.

Army Composition
When it comes to choosing the Hero and Equipment, this base has quite a lot of flexibility with it. You could replace the King with the Royal Champion because it's great for cleanup but the King and Archer Queen are great tools for funneling. The Grand Wardens in Air-Mode are non-negotiable though. You will also need some balloons and spells like Rage and Freeze.
Your Army Composition must contain:
- Electro Dragon – 7-8
- Balloons – 8-10
- Totems – As per event
- Spells – Rage, Freeze, Poison
- Heroes – Grand Warden, Royal Champion, Archer Queen
Base Analysis – Best Bases to Attack
The Electro Dragon has a short range and low attack rate but a very high damage. They are the most effective against bases with clustered buildings due to their chain damage output. Analyzing the base is important because it decides the 70% success rate of the whole attack. So here are the bases you would love to attack with Electro Dragons:
Compact/Box Bases
These bases are ideal for such attacks because the buildings are close and Chain lightening also hits maximum value. The air defenses in such bases also fall together instead of one so if you see such base, then that is your sign to attack.
Ring Bases with Central Core
This is probably the best base you could attack with the Electro Dragons and Totems. The Electro Dragons can move around the ring and even the chain attacks can flow inwards. The Splash damage can also be dealt easily by the Totems. All you need to do is clear the path from the centre for the base to collapse.
Base Analysis - Worst Bases to Attack
Of course, not every base will be optimal against your strategy. Electro Dragons are not Gods, they don’t work everywhere. So here is a list of bases you should avoid when looking for bases to attack because these are totally meant to survive your attacks:
Spread Bases
While Electro Dragons can excel at clearing those bases that are tightly packed with buildings, the same doesn’t go with the ones with buildings spaced widely. This is because the dragon’s chain damage is wasted. Spread Bases are built to counter your Electro Dragons so don’t try to force it. Your time will only be wasted.
Heavy Sweeper Control Bases
Some bases have multiple air sweepers surrounding them and such sweepers stall the Electro Dragons, due to which time becomes your enemy. These bases aren’t exactly a counter but they are definitely not recommended to attack unless of course you have Perfect Freeze Timing and know how to utilize your abilities instead of just spamming them.
Step-by-Step Attack Strategy
Step 1 - Creating Funnels
First of all, we will start by creating the funnels which is also the most important in the whole strategy. You can deploy the King and Queen on one side and use either a Single Electro Dragon or Baby Dragons on the other side. Now, this will either kill the opponents or force them to gather into the core. And no matter which way they go, the odds are with us.
Step 2 - Main Deployment
Once the funnel has been cleaned, drop in the balloons first. Yes, the balloons before the dragons. Why? They help in triggering the traps first so your dragons won’t be caught. After that you can deploy the Electro Dragons now, not in a group or pile, but in a line. You can deploy the dragons on the CC or whichever place you want to clear, depending on the base. The Totems come after the Dragons, just early enough to support the Dragons’ entry. If implemented well enough, this will lead to a consistent damage spread throughout the base.
Step 3 - Entry of Grand Wardens
Now this is the part where Grand Wardens come in. A lot of you might be wondering why I said they were non-negotiable. So here’s why. If the Town Hall weapon activates, or the eagle artillery locks on you, or if several infernos begin to target you, just send in the Grand Wardens. We know that they have low HP and not that great of an attack but their support radius is undeniable.
Step 4 - Spells
Now this is the part where you say “Wingardium Leviosa” and everything goes BOOM. Well, not so quite. Spells in COC work a little differently. You will be needing 2-3 Rage Spells for this along with 4-5 Freeze Spells and for the poison one, just stack as many as you like because those are mandatory. Use the rage spell when the electro dragons stack and the Freeze spell when the Multiple Infernos bubble, Air Sweepers lock in, or the Town Hall Weapon activates.
Step 5 - Final Cleanup
A lot of you might be thinking that “Phew. Everything’s accounted for” but no dearies, this is the second most important part and also the part where most players lose the 3-star. This is where you deploy the Royal Champion for the back-end defense. Also use the left-out balloons to prep for the final defenses and don’t forget to watch your dragons. They do have serious damage but they are quite slow. Once the core has been destroyed, the victory is yours.

Conclusion
In the battles of COC, time precision is very important. Being late can cost you a lot of resources. For example, deploying the wardens late will lead to your dragons not being in the radius of their support anymore. You should also avoid mistakes like dropping all Electro Dragons at one point or using the Wardens too early. Also, don’t just waste your freeze spells unnecessarily. Most players don't have any left when they are actually needed.
