Play Celestial Machina on PC and Mac
Celestial Machina: Twilight of Exia is a 3D real-time tactics game developed by OMEGA POINT, set in a world where humanity faces extinction at the hands of monstrous entities known as the Nephilim. Players command formations of powerful battleship units and lead the charge using humanoid warships called Excia, born from the fusion of awakened girls and flying battleships. The game blends deep strategic formation building with cinematic combat, and every battle unfolds in full three-dimensional detail. Playing on PC through MuMuPlayer lets you experience all of this on a much larger screen with more responsive controls right from the start.
At the heart of Celestial Machina is a formation system that lets commanders assemble a fleet from multiple unit types, including flagships, cruisers, destroyers, attack ships, missile ships, support ships, and heavy cruisers. Battles play out in real time, using a ring-gauge command system that keeps engagements dynamic and requiring constant attention. The visuals push the intensity further, filling the screen with beams, machine gun fire, blasters, and missile salvos rendered in high-quality 3D graphics. Characters are designed in a stylized cartoon-style 3D look and can be personalized through costumes and accessories. Future updates are also planned to introduce open field exploration, character interaction systems, and a likability mechanic that ties relationship-building directly to combat effectiveness.
MuMuPlayer brings a genuine advantage to a game like Celestial Machina, where real-time tactical decisions and ring-gauge inputs demand precision and speed. With keyboard and mouse support, managing multiple unit types and issuing commands mid-battle becomes far more comfortable than touchscreen controls allow. The expanded display on PC also makes reading the battlefield much easier, giving players a clearer view of formation positioning and incoming threats. For a strategy game built around split-second timing and visual depth, running Celestial Machina through MuMuPlayer on PC is a natural and practical choice.
About the Game
Celestial Machina: Twilight of Exia drops players into a desperate war for human survival, set against the backdrop of a catastrophic event that reshaped the known world. Far in the north, a seemingly bottomless void known as the Absos tore open without warning, releasing the Nephilim, beings whose arrival pushed humanity to the edge of collapse. Conventional flying battleships were deployed in response, but they proved insufficient against the relentless advance of these creatures. The tide only began to turn when scientists and engineers discovered a way to harness a mysterious energy source called the Einhoff Soul, also referred to as Infinite Light, and used it to create something entirely new: the Excia.
The Excia are humanoid warships, each one formed through the fusion of a flying battleship and an awakened girl. These extraordinary machines carry both the firepower of a military vessel and a human will to fight, making them unlike anything humanity had fielded before. The campaign against the Nephilim, known as the Armageddon, now hinges on these Excia and the commanders who direct them into battle. The story builds a world with clear stakes, a defined enemy, and characters whose origins tie directly into the conflict at hand.
On the gameplay side, Celestial Machina is structured around fleet-based real-time tactical combat. Players build formations by selecting from a range of battleship unit types, each fulfilling a different battlefield role:
- Flagships: the command core of any formation, providing central firepower and authority
- Cruisers: versatile mid-range combatants suited for sustained engagements
- Destroyers: fast attack units built to harass and intercept
- Attack Ships: aggressive front-line vessels focused on direct damage output
- Missile Ships: long-range platforms that deliver heavy strikes from a distance
- Support Ships: defensive and utility units that keep the formation operational
- Heavy Cruisers: armored powerhouses capable of absorbing and dealing significant punishment
Combat operates in real time and uses a ring-gauge command system that adds a layer of timing and rhythm to battle decisions. Players cannot simply set a formation and wait; active input through the ring-gauge shapes how skills and maneuvers are executed, keeping every engagement engaging and demanding. All of this plays out in detailed 3D visuals, with beams, blasters, machine gun fire, and missile volleys filling the screen throughout each battle.
Beyond the combat mechanics, Celestial Machina places meaningful attention on its cast of characters. All characters are presented in a stylized cartoon-style 3D render, and players can personalize them with different costumes and accessories. This visual customization adds a layer of personal investment in the crew fighting alongside you.
The developers at OMEGA POINT have also outlined several systems planned for future updates. A field exploration feature is in development that will allow players to walk freely through environments with their chosen characters and engage in open interactions with the wider cast. Alongside this, a character sensitivity system is being built, where the bonds formed through interactions and battle combinations will translate into tangible gameplay benefits, specifically enabling access to more powerful skills as relationships deepen. These additions point toward a game that intends to grow its scope well beyond its initial launch content, weaving together the tactical combat core with a more personal, character-driven progression layer over time.
