Step into a world where the line between heroism and villainy is deliberately blurred. Twisted Wonderland, developed and distributed by Aniplex Inc. with scenario and character design by Yana Toboso (supported by SQUARE ENIX), invites players into a strikingly original adventure that takes place at Night Raven College, a school for magicians located in a parallel world known as Twisted Wonderland. The premise begins with the protagonist being transported to this unfamiliar realm through a magic mirror, with no clear way home and no choice but to navigate a school full of extraordinarily gifted, deeply complicated students.
The story is built around the concept of reimagining iconic villains, not as simple antagonists, but as fully realized characters with their own motivations, histories, and secrets. Each student at Night Raven College carries the soul of a legendary villain, and uncovering what lies beneath their facades is one of the central threads that pulls players through the narrative. The masked principal offers temporary shelter to the protagonist, but the path forward requires forming unlikely alliances and working through conflicts with students who are more interested in their own ambitions than in cooperation.
The college itself is divided into seven dormitories, each rooted in a different classic story world:

Octavinelle, layered with manipulation and mystery inspired by The Little Mermaid
Scarabia, reflecting the deception and desire found in Aladdin
Pomefiore, built around vanity and rivalry echoing Snow White
Ignihyde, channeling the reclusive intensity tied to Hercules
Diasomnia, steeped in the haunting atmosphere of Sleeping Beauty
Each dormitory hosts its own cast of characters, and the player's journey brings them into contact with all of them across an unfolding multi-chapter story that grows more intricate as progress is made.
Gameplay in Twisted Wonderland is structured around daily school life. Attending classes in subjects like magic history, alchemy, and aerial studies is the primary driver of story progression. As classes are completed, new chapters open and the narrative moves forward. The actual gameplay is split across two complementary formats. In the battle sections, players direct characters to cast spells and execute abilities in command-based encounters that reward strategy and team composition. In the rhythm sections, players tap notes in time with music, offering a change of pace that keeps the experience from feeling repetitive. Both systems connect back to character development, encouraging players to invest in the students they spend time with.
The production behind Twisted Wonderland reflects a serious commitment to quality. Music was composed by Takumi Ozawa, giving the game a distinct and atmospheric sound. The opening animation was produced by TROYCA, and sound production was handled by HALF H P STUDIO. Visual design including the logo, user interface, emblems, and icons was crafted by Wataru Koshisakabe, while background art came from Ateliemsa. Game development and ongoing operation are managed by f4samurai.
