About the Game

Ticket to Ride is the official digital adaptation of one of the most celebrated board games ever made. The objective is straightforward on the surface: claim railway routes across a map, link cities listed on your destination tickets, and outscore your opponents before the final round begins. How a match unfolds depends on the decisions made from the very first turn. At the start, each player receives a hand of destination tickets and must commit to keeping a set number. These tickets define your goals for the entire game, since completing them earns points while failing to do so costs them. You also start with a set of colored train cards, which are used to claim routes by matching their color and length. On each turn, the choices are simple but meaningful: draw two cards from the visible or hidden piles, pick up a new destination ticket, or spend cards to place your train pieces along a route on the board. The real strategy emerges from reading what other players are building and deciding when to act and when to wait.
The game ends when any player is down to three or fewer train pieces, triggering a final round for all. Points come from completed tickets, the length of individual routes, and, for one lucky player, the bonus awarded for building the longest continuous railway on the map. Every session plays out differently depending on the map selected, the tickets dealt, and the decisions your opponents make.
Ticket to Ride supports several distinct ways to play:

Async mode: Start a game and return to it over multiple days, receiving notifications when it is your turn so your schedule never gets in the way.
