About the Game

Royal Knight Tales invites players into the continent of Eli, a world divided among four nations each with their own histories, tensions, and ambitions. The Kingdom of Light is a constitutional monarchy where a bedridden king leaves governance to his two young heirs, Prince Leon and Princess Farah. Neighboring it is the Roputo Empire, a centralized military power built through conquest, now under an emperor whose rising ambition has fueled unprecedented military expansion. To the southwest, the Elven Kingdom is a loose federation of elf and orc tribes governed by Queen Emia, traditionally allied with the humans of the Light Kingdom and long at odds with the Demon Dragon Kingdom. That fourth nation, established just thirty years ago by a demon king and a dragon king, collapsed after a failed continental invasion fifteen years prior and now operates under an uneasy internal power structure controlled by five major noble families. Peace has returned, but for how long is the central question that drives the story forward.
At the heart of the gameplay is hero collection and tactical squad building. Players can recruit dozens of knight heroes, each designed in detailed anime style with individual skills, classes, and loyal troop units that fight alongside them. The six core classes are:
Swordsman: melee fighters with sword infantry followers
Lancer: spear units effective at countering cavalry
Knight: cavalry-based heroes strong against infantry
Archer: ranged attackers capable of eliminating backline threats
Mage: powerful spellcasters that deal heavy damage from distance
Flyer: versatile aerial units with three evolution paths
Each class follows distinct evolution branches. Flyer units, for example, can evolve into Pegasus Knights, Angel Crusaders, or Dragon Knights depending on player choices. This adds a layer of long-term customization that keeps squad-building interesting well beyond early levels.
Combat runs on a formation and restraint system rather than pure stat competition. Cavalry crushes shield infantry, but spearmen can stop cavalry cold. Mages hiding behind enemy lines pose serious threats if left unchecked, while archers can pick them off from range before they cause damage. Six interchangeable formation layouts and carefully timed hero skill releases mean that well-planned tactics can beat opponents with higher raw combat power. The game spans over 20 main story chapters and continues to expand.
Social and multiplayer features are woven throughout the experience. Joining a guild unlocks daily cooperative events including guild boss battles that offer weekly reward pools. Higher-level guilds can compete to occupy territory in the Sky City system, earning daily resource bonuses and potentially hero-exclusive weapon drops. For competitive players, a personal ranked season runs twice per week, matching you against other players for leaderboard placement and valuable prizes.
The game takes a player-friendly approach to monetization and progression. It is completely ad-free, meaning sessions are never interrupted by external content. Newcomers benefit from a welcome gift code, level-based mail rewards that include SSR-rarity gold heroes at milestone levels, and consistent daily login bonuses throughout the early game period.
