About the Game

Ensemble Stars!! Music builds on the foundation of its predecessor to deliver a full-scale idol experience wrapped inside a rhythm game framework. The story takes place at Yumenosaki Academy, where aspiring idols are taking their first real steps into a competitive and emotionally demanding world. Their path is not straightforward. Along the way, these young performers face doubt, setbacks, unexpected friendships, and moments of genuine triumph. The narrative unfolds across Ensemble Square, a shared space where players can witness the personal journeys of dozens of characters as they grow from students into professionals.
At the heart of the game is a rhythm system built to welcome players of all skill levels. Four difficulty tiers are available from the start, so newcomers can find their footing without frustration while experienced rhythm game players can immediately seek out a real challenge. Clearing stages at higher difficulties delivers a satisfying sense of accomplishment that keeps the gameplay loop engaging over time.
The 3D live performance system is where the visual identity of Ensemble Stars!! Music really comes through. Rather than simple animated backgrounds, each performance is rendered with detailed 3D models that capture movement, expression, and costume design with care. The voice cast is one of the most notable production elements of the game. More than 40 prominent voice actors from the Japanese entertainment industry contribute to the project, including Hikaru Midorikawa, Yuuki Kaji, Shotaro Morikubo, Tetsuya Kakihara, and Tomoaki Maeno.
