About the Game

Ayakashi Proxy is an urban role playing game set in modern Tokyo, where strange events hide just beneath the surface of ordinary city life. Developed by STAR ATELIER CO., LTD., the game places you in the role of a member of the Proxy Department, a special team tasked with solving unusual incidents reported on internet message boards. What makes this department different is that every member is an Ayakashi, a supernatural being who quietly protects the city from unseen threats. Together, you and these unique companions investigate mysteries, confront corruption, and gradually uncover the emotional truths behind each case.
The central story begins when Shinra Bansho, a major internet company known for its popular platform called Infinite Channel, undergoes a leadership change. The newly appointed chairman, Aotenme Ranga, establishes a secretive organization within the company known as the Agent Department. Although its official purpose is to resolve the growing number of suspicious posts appearing online, the department's true nature is far more extraordinary. Every agent is an Ayakashi, and their mission is to eliminate unknown corruption that threatens the city's order. You are welcomed into this group as a fellow agent, and from that point on, your days are filled with both warmth and mystery.
What follows is a gentle and slightly mysterious story woven between humans and Ayakashi. Each incident you investigate may end with someone's loneliness, an unspoken feeling, or a hidden past finally coming to light. The narrative is designed to make you laugh, worry, and feel your heart warm as you grow closer to your companions.
