Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble is a free-to-play mobile arena shooter that takes the energy and humor of the classic franchise and rebuilds it around real-time multiplayer competition. The story follows Captain Qwark as he searches for the next generation of Galactic Rangers through a high-tech combat simulation, giving players the chance to step into the boots of legendary heroes from across the galaxy. From the towering skyscrapers of Megalopolis to the rugged scrapyard canyons of Torren IV, every map feels rooted in the visual identity fans have come to expect from the series.
Movement is a core part of what makes combat feel different here. Players can dash, double jump, grind rails, and run along walls while simultaneously managing shootouts with up to seven other players. This creates a rhythm where positional awareness and mobility matter just as much as raw firepower. The game uses a third-person 3D format that keeps the action readable while maintaining the kinetic pace the franchise is known for.
When it comes to building your loadout, the options are genuinely varied:

The three multiplayer modes each offer a distinct experience. Bolt Rush places six players in a competitive environment where they must collect bolts while also dealing with enemy mobs, roaming bosses, and rival players all at once, making resource management and combat equally important. Total Rumble strips things back to a pure free-for-all format where eight players fight until one remains, rewarding aggressive play and smart positioning. Blast Ball introduces a sport-style twist where two teams of three compete to fire a hypercharged ball into the opposing goal, with no rules limiting how aggressively players can eliminate each other in the process.
Progression is built to stay rewarding over time. Daily missions provide consistent objectives, while seasonal content through the Qwark Pass introduces new skins, gear, and limited-time rewards.
