About the Game

Seolhwa Dungeon: Roguelike RPG is a turn-based dungeon crawler that draws its identity from Korean folklore. Developed by Sungki Soft, the game places you in a world of silver mines where goblin fire drifts, royal tombs with open coffins, foggy marshes, fox dens, and an underworld that only opens to those who gather the orbs. Four main dungeons and seven branch dungeons each carry their own story, and every descent is a fresh puzzle because the dungeon is redrawn each time. There is no undo. Death sends you back to the first floor, but you walk out with a different tale.
The core loop is built on meaningful choices. Folktales become rules: bow to a funeral procession or block its way, wrestle a dokkaebi, or accept a meal from the snail maiden. Each decision has a price, and the gods are watching. Eight gods, including Sanshin, the Dragon King, Samsin Halmi, the Seven Stars, Princess Bari, Jowang, the Dokkaebi Chief, and Mago Halmi, grant favor with a rule attached. Break the taboo and you face wrath, though a shaman can hold a rite to make amends. This system keeps every run tense and personal.
Character building is equally varied. You choose from 14 species, such as bear-folk, serpents, dokkaebi, dol hareubang, and crows, and pair them with 12 classes, including warriors, assassins, Taoists, shamans, geomancers, and jesters. Every pairing opens differently. At each level you pick one card from what is drawn, with 32 spells like Flame Hand, Thunderbolt, Cloud Ride, and Diamond Body. No two runs of the same class grow alike, which gives the turn-based RPG long-term replay value.
The world is populated by 150 yokai, each tied to a folktale. Every yokai you meet is recorded in the codex with its story, weaknesses, and habits. From floor 3, each floor includes a themed room, ranging from icehouses and bamboo groves to spider dens and watermills, and a shrine room becomes that god's sacred ground. These details make exploration feel like uncovering a living mythology.
Controls are simple: tap to walk and fight. Auto-explore and auto-fight cover the dull stretches, so you can focus on decisions. The game is a single-player offline experience with no internet or account required, and a run takes about 40 minutes to two hours. It is designed for one hand in portrait, making it easy to pick up and play.
