MuMuPlayer Game Translation Feature Guide

Jul 17, 2026

When playing overseas games that do not support English, MuMuPlayer’s real-time translation feature can translate and display certain in-game texts in English, helping you better understand game stories, menus, and tips for a smoother gaming experience.

1. How to Enable Game Translation

Real-time translation is currently available for selected games only. After launching a supported game, you can enable the feature in the following ways:

Method 1: Enable from the Pop-up Notification

When you first enter a game that supports real-time translation, MuMuPlayer may automatically display a notification:

“This game can be displayed in English. Switch now?”

Click “Switch” in the notification to enable real-time translation.

Method 2: Enable from the Toolbox

After entering the game, click the “Toolbox” icon in the upper-right corner of the emulator window.

Find the “Game Translation” option in the toolbox and turn it on to start using the feature.

2. Translation Results After Enabling

After real-time translation is enabled, supported in-game texts that were originally displayed in foreign languages will be automatically converted and displayed in English.

For example, game texts originally shown in Japanese, korean, or other supported languages can be displayed in English, making it easier to read:

  • Game stories
  • Instructions
  • Menus
  • System messages and tips

When enabling the feature for the first time, MuMuPlayer may need to download translation resources. Please ensure your network connection is stable and wait for the process to complete.

In most cases, the translation will take effect automatically after switching. If the game prompts you to restart, please restart the game and check again.

3. Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why can’t I find the Game Translation option?

Real-time translation is currently supported only for selected games and game versions.

If you do not see the translation pop-up when launching a game, and the Game Translation option is not available in the Toolbox, the current game or installed version may not support this feature yet.

You can try the following:

  • Update MuMuPlayer to version 6.2.3 or above.
  • Make sure the game has launched successfully and you have entered the main game interface.
  • Try installing the game from an official or commonly used distribution channel.
  • Submit the game name through the customer support or feedback feature to request support.

2. Does Game Translation support all games?

No. Real-time translation currently supports selected games only, and the supported game list will continue to expand.

Please check whether the feature is available based on:

  • The translation notification displayed when entering the game.
  • The availability of the Game Translation option in the Toolbox.

3. Will enabling Game Translation affect my game account?

No. Game Translation only changes how supported text is displayed on your screen. It does not modify your game account data or affect your account status.

4. What should I do if the translation does not take effect?

Please wait until the translation resources have finished loading and make sure your network connection is working properly.

If the translation still does not appear:

  1. Close and restart the game.
  2. Follow any restart instructions shown by MuMuPlayer.
  3. Try enabling the feature again after restarting.

5. Why are some texts not translated in certain parts of the game?

Real-time translation mainly supports text content generated by the game.

Some games display text as images, textures, or specially designed interface elements. These types of content may not be supported by the translation feature at this time.

If certain story scenes, buttons, or descriptions are not translated, the text may be embedded in image assets rather than being standard game text.

We will continue improving compatibility and expanding supported content in future updates.

6. What should I do if the game I want to play is not supported?

You can submit the game name, game version, and download source through the MuMuPlayer feedback feature.

We will continue evaluating and expanding supported games based on user feedback and compatibility improvements.
