How to upgrade your Android version in MuMuPlayer?

Jul 3, 2026

MuMuPlayer 6.0 now supports Android 15. If you're currently using an Android 12 instance and want to upgrade to Android 15, you can use the Upgrade Android Version feature.

When upgrading, you can choose one of the following methods based on your needs:

Method 1: Keep the Original Device (Recommended)

Select Keep the original device before upgrading.

This option creates a backup of your current Android 12 instance and generates a new Android 15 instance with the same apps, data, and settings. After the upgrade, you will have both an Android 12 instance and an Android 15 instance.

Method 2: Upgrade Without Keeping the Original Device

Leave Keep the original Device unchecked before upgrading.

This option directly migrates your apps, data, and settings from your Android 12 instance to Android 15. After the upgrade, only the Android 15 instance will remain.

We recommend selecting Keep the original device to create a backup before upgrading. After you've used the Android 15 instance for a while and confirmed everything is working as expected, you can delete the Android 12 instance if it's no longer needed.

Please note that Android 15 currently has the following limitations:

  1. 32-bit ARM (ARM32) apps are not supported.
  2. Magisk is not supported.

If you encounter any issues or find that certain features are unavailable after upgrading, please contact our customer support team for assistance.
