New Operators Step In

The new Act or Die event’s key point is all about its new operators. There are three new additions tied into Nervous Impairment (NI) that will be introduced, and they have a new elemental Damage type triggering 6000 true damage with 3 paralysis stacks. These can perfectly block incoming attacks.

So, here is a breakdown of all the new operators you will be having:

Operator (Rarity and Class) Key Role
Tragodia (Phantom Alter) 6 Star Ritualist Supporter Tragodia Tragodia plays as an NI stacker with a high crowd control skill. This one is known as a top tier operator to the game who can pull and lure enemies, explode them on paralysis. How to Get: Through the Banner – Dithyramb Unending
Miss Christine 5 Star Primal Caster Miss Christine Miss Christine is also an NI dealer who can impair foes, and she is paralysis focused. How to Get: Clear AD-4 and with Shop Tokens
Tippi 5 Star Skyranger Specialist Tippi 5 Star Skyranger Specialist This one is a fast-redeploy flier with control/dodge talent. Tippi is more like a niche operator. How to Get: with shop tokens

New Enemies and Mechanics

The new Arknights Act or Die event has introduced a new spotlight on your maps with cameras, and if your operator is inside the spotlight, it makes them super tough. They will have a lot of damage reduction. At the same time, enemies outside this spotlight will be very hard to beat and kill. With this new mechanic, you have to try your best to pull enemies into the light or block them, as it can weaken them all.

Some of the enemies have the ability to block or cover these cameras by turning the lights off. These enemies need to be prioritized for killing and attacking. Enemies who are hit with a Nervous Impairment stack a meter that can burst into high damage and stun them. So basically, if there is light, it can keep all your damage dealers safe.

With this new mechanic, several new enemies are also introduced to the game as follows:

Enemy Type Traits
Audio Technician Normal Deploys sound props that can slow down operator attack speed.
Audio Engineer Elite Upgraded sound props are there. NI pulses and heals nearby enemies.
Zealous Extra Normal Charges fast with ATK buff outside lights, and this one is fragile in light.
Artistic Extra Elite Throws tape to root operators, and it is high RES with scripted pauses.
Tired Prop Technician Normal Regenerates HP, blocks/deploys props on lights/cameras.
Attention-Seeking Prop Technician Elite Stronger regen/blocks with attention pulls to props.
Uneasy Designer Normal Deploys barriers/shields on cameras and has uneasy AI pathing.
Anguished Designer Elite Has upgraded barriers, and NI spread on shield breaks.
Hero's Sidekick Elite Script pauses (stops to "act") are launched and assists heroes.
Destined Hero Elite Infighting trigger (makes allies fight) with high ATK in shadows.
Villain's Minion Elite Debuffs operators (NI pulses) and supports villains.
Destined Villain Elite RES buff, tape/roots in light and boss-like phases.
Nimble Mannequin Normal High dodge/MSPD with dodges attacks.
Sentient Mannequin Elite Smarter dodge, and targets the backline. NI on hit.
Unhappy Cameraman Normal Disables cameras (turns off lights) and has a low HP.
Violent Cameraman Elite Stronger disable and barriers cameras as well as charges.

All Stages Clearing Guide

You will have eight main stages from AD One to AD Eight, and each of these stages can bring you the same amount of Phantom of the Studio tokens. You gain exactly one token for every point of Sanity you spend. This basically means that AD One gives the same token value as AD Eight.

So, if you earn three stars on all stages, you have the ability to collect twenty-eight free Primes. You can also clear everything with low-rarity operators.

All Stages Clearing Guide

For clearing each stage, these are the strategies we recommend:

  • AD One to AD Three: These stages introduce cameras and lights. You can use vanguards to pull enemy attention here and then let your arts units handle the moving props. If you use Myrtle for fast deployment points and Kroos for ranged support, it will be enough here as a simple setup. It only takes about 2 to 3 minutes to clear each here.
  • AD Four to AD Five: AD Four to Five means you are going to face more waves and more blockers. Miss Christine can be obtained in these stages since she is the welfare operator. All you have to do is pull boss previews toward the stage lights to weaken them. If you have a low-rarity operator, don’t worry because they can still handle everything if placed correctly.
  • AD Six to AD Eight: These stages are ideal for farming spots. AD Six drops Devices, AD Seven drops Polyester Packs, and AD Eight is known to drop Incandescent Alloys. Remember that AD Eight also contains the boss. You can keep the boss inside the stage lights using strong defenders such as Saria or Cuora. Burst damage early to shorten the fight, and if you use new innovative operators, they can also help with smoother runs. Low-rarity clears still work, and Narantuya can perform well in AD Eight. Once you set everything up, you can let the stage run on its own. It will usually take between four and seven minutes to clear here.
  • AD EX Stages: These appear after AD Eight and are known as the tougher remix versions. They give Trust and EXP rather than tokens, and are great for practice and extra experience.

If you plan to grind the same stages many times, note that you can upgrade your setup by using MuMuPlayer to play Arknights on PC. The emulator runs Arknights smoothly and gives you the most helpful tools that make long farming sessions much easier.

You can create multiple instances to farm on different accounts at the same time while setting your own keymapping so your deployments feel more accurate. Higher frame rates in this emulator also keep boss phases smooth and easy to read. There is also an operation recorder that lets you automate repeated runs of AD Six, AD Seven, and AD Eight. All of these features help you gather tokens without putting a heavy load on your mobile device.

Earning Rewards and Using the Shop

Any AD stage you clear gives you one token per Sanity point. This makes it very easy to shop out the entire event store. Most players farm AD Six, Seven, or Eight since they give rare upgrade materials while still giving full tokens. You can also use Pies to gain more Sanity and increase your daily token income. Around three hundred tokens per day can be gathered by you, which helps you sweep the shop quickly.

On the other hand, there is an event shop, and the stores remain open until December Four. We get two types of shops as:

  • Backlot Entertainment Projects: This is the main shop, and here your first priority should be Headhunting Permits since they give you pulls. After that, go for Module Data Blocks, then LMD, EXP cards, and the themed furniture from Wrankwood.
  • Studio Self Service Bar: This is the first-phase shop, and it offers modules and LMD for Tragodia and Miss Christine.

Earning Rewards and Using the Shop

If you clear everything and shop wisely, you can gain around 50 pulls from mission rewards, 28 Primes, and the store items. You also receive free skins and Records. Make sure you earn three stars on every stage to get all bonuses.
