Overview of Frosty Funlands

The Frosty Funlands is a limited time winter themed map filled with snow covered landscapes, new hotspots, exclusive NPCs, and many more. This map was dropped on November 13, 2025 with the 4.1 update.

Themed Areas

There are mainly two theme spots in the Frosty Funlands map which are:

• Penguinville: Penguinville is the main Penguin city which is a city established by the penguins in the snow. Players can collect loot and enjoy the thrill of combat in the streets and compact structures of Penguinville. For more advanced loot, players need to aim for the Penguin stage which opens shortly after the match begins. At the edge of the area, players can even find the Snowball vehicles.
• Penguin Town: Penguin town is a comparatively smaller outpost which is a temporary area, perfect for early to mid game fights and rotations.

NPC Animals

In the map, you will notice some new animals which are the event exclusive NPCs. They play different roles and have unique significance in the event map.

• PowNin the Ninja Penguin: The PowNin ninja is a special NPC that will play as an additional player in your team. Find him and fight alongside him.
• Gunsmith Polar Bear: The Gunsmith Polar Bear is a Rare NPC that assigns you missions and rewards you with rare items including the Advanced Salted Fish Rocket launcher for completing them.
• Magic Fox: Just like our Polar Bear, the Magic Fox is also a Rare NPC but you need a floating Magic Staff to summon her and get those Magic Ice Skates and valuable loot.

Other Normal NPCs are the Cupid Penguin that will assist you in a commemorative photo, Apothecary penguin that is your minigame host and lastly the Penguin Merchant who is the shop owner of the Event Shop.

Event Vehicle - Penguin Snowmobile

The event exclusive vehicle is called the Penguin Snowmobile, which is a 4 seater vehicle and mostly looks like a penguin itself. Based on its penguin concept, this 4 seater can traverse both in land and water through pedaling. The Snowball skills form a snowball that gradually gets larger and if you hit an enemy with it to create an icy patch. If players step on it, they will slip. You can even boost the vehicle’s top speed.

Event Items

There are 4 new event exclusive items that will enhance your game experience with their unique functionalities and utilities.

• Magic Ice Skates: The Magic Ice Skates allow players to leap and create an instant, shared Ice Track for rapid traversal. One can acquire this item from the Magic Fox.
• Swordfish Syringe: The Swordfish Syringe is a consumable item that heals you up. It comes with two modes - Heal and Throw. Use the heal mode to heal yourself and the throw mode to heal your allies.
• Summon Whistle: The Summon Whistle is used to summon the Penguin Merchant and you can use it at any time during battle to purchase supplies. Each summon grants access to different free supplies in the shop.
• Quickshot Elixir: The Quickshot Elixir is also a consumable that temporarily increases your reload and weapon swap speed upon consumption. This item can primarily be obtained from the Apothecary Penguin.

Exclusive Weapons

Cheer up as we are getting our hands on two new event exclusive weapons – The Salted Fish Rocket Launcher and the Winterland Kar98k.

• The Salted Fish Rocket Launcher: Let’s call it the SFRL. The SFRL launches shell explosions that deal damage and create an icy area on the ground where players can’t fire from while standing on it. The Rocket Launcher’s propulsion skill keeps you sliding at high speeds and also launches you into the air. To obtain it, one needs to complete the Gunsmith Polar Bear’s mission.
• Winterland Kar98k: The Winterland Kar98k is a special weapon that features a unique icon and ground pickup effects. Moreover, it charges immediately upon pickup and its next fully charged shot triggers a special effect. These charged shots cause an ice explosion on impact and leave behind an icy patch that slows enemies.

Special Trial Mission

Players get Party Mailbox Keys in the event which is used to complete a trial mission in ranked Erangel with a 4 player team. Players with Party Mailbox Keys can interact with the Party Mailbox for a limited time at the start of the match to receive party invites. After receiving the Party Mailbox, you must wait a certain amount of time for it to activate. Then drop the party invite into the Party Postbox. The location of players holding party invites will be shown on the map. In order to complete the mission, you must get a Chicken Dinner in that match.

• Hot Drop at the Main Event Crate: Make the Main Event Crate your first landing spot at the Penguinville to gain a recall card instantly.  Using that card and the other recall towers, you can resurrect multiple times in the game.
• Destroy the Loot Truck Early: The loot truck is a nice investment in the early game to gain high tier loot. It only takes around 60 shots to completely destroy it and you can gain Level 3 gears and a guaranteed flare gun through the loot.
• NPC interactions: Don’t ignore the NPCs in the game. Try to find the PowNin to have a 5th player in your squad as a support, look for Magic Fox to gain the magic Ice Skates that offer extreme mobility, and other NPCs that play a significant role in the match.
• Mastering Magic Ice Skates: Magic Ice Skates are the new standard of fast traversal with their excellent mobility. You can obtain it through Magic Fox but it is important that you master its mechanics too. The skate lets you glide up buildings, reach rooftops instantly, and bypass stairs, giving you unpredictable flank routes.
• Healing Syringe: We have already discussed the healing syringe that can be used to heal yourself and your allies. It can also help you revive them from afar and avoid dangerous revival situations.
• Mastering Rocket Launcher: The Rocket Launcher is not just a weapon to kill, it also helps you take the high ground in important fights as it allows temporary flight, hover and scout enemies. Use it to scout them and make a flank angle to surprise them.
