What’s Coming in Genshin Impact 6.2: Venti’s Upgrades & Banner Preview

Genshin Impact 6.2 Details
The upcoming patch for Genshin Impact is scheduled to be released on December 3, 2025. This patch will have a lot of new content from Archon Quest to new character debuts.
Banner Phase of 6.2 (Luna III)
The upcoming version will have two banner phases with 4 5-star character banners.
First Phase
The 5-star characters in this phase are :
- Durin: Sub-DPS, Pyro, Sword
- Venti: Support, Anemo, Bow
The four-star characters who will be accompanying the 5-stars are:
- Jahoda: Sub-DPS, Anemo, Bow
- Gaming: Main DPS, Pyro, Claymore
- Chevreuse: Buffer/Healer, Pyro, Polearm
Second Phase
The 5-star characters in this phase are:
- Varesa: Main DPS, Electro, Catalyst
- Xilonen: Buffer/Healer, Geo, Sword As of writing, the 4-star characters for the second banner phase are unknown.
Old Characters Buff in Luna III
In the upcoming version of Genshin Impact, a few old characters will be getting buffs, including Klee, Albedo, Mona, Sucrose, Fischl, Razor, and Venti who will be getting a re-run in the first phase. These aforementioned units are all part of the Hexenzirkel, along with the newly introduced 5-star Durin, and all of these upgrades are tied to this status.
After finishing the Witch’s Work in the upcoming version, these units' kits and constellations will be buffed up; however, it will only work when two or more Hexenzirkel members are present in the same squad.
Venti’s rework in Genshin Impact Luna III (6.2v)
According to the leaks that are going on the internet and with the recent Special Livestream from HoYoverse, it is safe to say that the first-ever premium character of Genshin Impact is about to make a comeback in the meta.
Venti, who has been in the game since 1.0, that is, since day one, and with the introduction of newer characters and gameplay mechanics, he has sharply fallen out of the meta. And when Kazuha was released back in 1.6v, that put the final nail in the coffin for Venti. Even as the Anemo Archon, he couldn't compete against the future Anemo units, as they all offered better crowd control ability and more, but that is now over.
According to the leaks, the Anemo Archon’s role might be changing, opening a place in the future where we might be able to see DPS Venti, with his Anemo-infused shots.
Venti is also getting a new Talent, known as Witch’s Eve Rite. After finishing the Witch's Homework, Venti will become a Magic character. When the party has at least 2 Magic characters, then you will gain the Magic: Secret Rite effect. This will increase all effects of the Passive Talent by 75%.
Details of the Magic: Secret Rite Effect:
- During his Elemental Burst/Ultimate Wind’s Grand Ode, the active character will trigger a Swirl reaction, while that character’s DMG output will be increased by 50% for a duration of 4 seconds.
- Venti’s Normal ATKs will become Hurricane Arrows that will pierce enemies. Upon making contact with enemies, the Stormeye’s duration will increase by 1 second. (Max 2 times per Burst)
Constellation Upgrades
He is getting two major Constellation buffs and these can be game-changing. These upgrades are:
- C2 (Breeze of Reminiscence) - RES reduction might be increased from 12% to 24%, and a Skill reset after the usage of his Burst. This is gonna be quite useful in future battles.
- C6 (Storm of Defiance) - This con already offers a massive RES shred, but now it's gonna offer RES Shred with a massive 100% Crit DMG bonus against his foes who are inside his Burst. With such buffs, he is definitely capable of being an on-field DPS in the future patches.
That is some massive upgrade for a 1.0v character, and with some proper planning Venti can be an on-field DPS without any issue.
