The Tower Idle Tower Defense: GT, BH & DW Sync Guide – How to Full Sync Ultimate Weapons
Resource Multiplication is the key to victory in an idle tower defense game. The difference is made with one perfectly timed ability activation, which can mean the difference between barely getting through waves versus being able to wipe them out using all of your collected coins.
The Tower Idle Tower Defense PC showcases this with Ultimate Weapon Syncing. This is where the cooldown timers on your best abilities are placed in sync so that when you activate them together, they all stack their effects together, resulting in exponential coin collection. This guide will teach you precisely how to sync your Golden Tower (GT), Black Hole (BH) and Death Wave (DW) for the highest possible output.

Why Sync Matters
Coin bonuses from BH and GT will increase at the same time. So if you get a x10 bonus by using GT and you use BH to get x5 when enemies die from either of those being active, they will drop 50x coins in addition to all other bonuses to coins being stacked together. When you add DW in the mix, your total multiplier will continue to increase.
Therefore, when DW, BH and GT are all activated at the same time, you get the GT bonus of x27.5 instead of x11, both DW + BH + GT active vs just DW + BH active, as well as just the normal GT bonus of when you shoot at GT. So if you miss combining all 3 at any point, your coins will be greatly diminished for the entirety of that run.
Base Cooldowns Details
First, know your baseline values:
-
Golden Tower (GT) has a base cooldown time of 300 seconds (5:00).
-
Black Hole (BH) has a base cooldown time of 200 seconds (3:20).
-
Death Wave (DW) has a base cooldown time of 300 seconds (5:00).
Without any form of alteration to these cooldowns, the GT and BH are synced at least partially so that they activate together every 10 minutes. The second activation of GT occurs every 3rd activation of BH. These base cooldowns are manageable in the early game but are not efficient.
Step 1 – Sync GT and BH First
Golden Tower and Black Hole have the most critical sync in the game. The goal is to achieve a 1:1 ratio (both activating together at the same time each instance).
You need to have 910 Stones amassed so that you can decrease Golden Tower’s cooldown from 300 seconds to 200 seconds all at once (not in small increments). If you drop Golden Tower’s cooldown to 270 seconds, it will take 90 minutes for both GT and BH to trigger together, costing you a lot of coins while trying to reach your final upgrade.
The same philosophy applies to Black Hole. You want to avoid reducing BH’s cooldown for the same reason increased costs are incurred for offset sync (if you miscalculate upgrading BH, it will be the most costly way to recover.
Step 2 – Add Death Wave to the Sync
When both GT and BH are each at 200 seconds, then you can finally begin work on Death Wave, which has a cooldown of 300 seconds. To sync with your GT and BH, you need to save up 600 Ultimate Stones so you can drop Death Wave's cooldown from 300 to 200 seconds instantaneously instead of gradually, as you did with GT.
Partial Sync: A Safety Net, Not a Goal
Partial Sync will occur when your Ultimate Weapons do not activate in unison on every rotation. With Partial Sync, your Ultimate Weapons cooldowns re-align occasionally to allow for synchronized activation of multiple Ultimate Weapons.
If you have inadvertently lowered the cooldown of GT, DW or BH, do not panic. You can either achieve yours with a Partial Sync or just grind it out. You can recover from GT and DW mistakes by spending a small amount of Stones.
The Multiverse Nexus Module (MVN)
The MVN module combines GT, DW and BH by calculating their average cooldown time. Once these cooldown times are averaged together, an automatic cooldown modifier is applied to the calculated average based on the current rank of the MVN module. The automatic cooldown modifiers decrease as the MVN module’s rank increases to a maximum of -10 seconds when the MVN module is at its most upgraded version (Ancestral).
The MVN module can be used as a temporary training aid for farming until you reach a natural sync between your three cooldowns to maximize your uptime as a result of having fewer average cooldowns.
Event Medals & Labs
The default cooldown for the Golden Bot is 120 seconds. You can reduce the cooldown through Lab Research and Event Medal upgrades. Event medals will reduce cool down by 3 seconds and labs will reduce cool down by 1 second. This means that you need to make sure you are balancing your medals and labs to keep the Golden Bot’s Cooldown time in sync with your BH, GT and DW.

Conclusion
The process of syncing your Ultimate Weapons in the Tower is one of those foundational places where patience will pay off exponentially over the course of time. The basic rules for doing this in the Tower are:
- Leave Black Hole to 200 Seconds
- Save 910 Stones to drop GT to 200 Seconds with one upgrade (instead of two)
- Save 600 Stones to drop DW to match GT time.
Properly timing these upgrades is critical, one mistake could cost you hundreds or thousands of Stones, delaying your upgrade process for several months. When you update one weapon, do not make incremental reductions to your total, continue to check your labs and medals closely and view the Multiverse Nexus as a bridge to assist you, versus a shortcut. The achievement of the 1:1 full sync of your Ultimate Weapons is a major milestone within the game, the foundation for your entire coin economy.
