Beyond the cute art style, the game's true complexity lies in the team building system that makes the foundation of both PvE and PvP success. Moreover, building the right team in Trickcal: Chibi GO is far more than just assembling powerful characters as you need to understand the in-depth synergy, role balance and attributes to unleash the team's full potential. This guide will help you explore all the things you need to do in order to create an efficient team to claim constant victories.

Tips For Preparation Phase

There are mainly two phases that you need to put your focus on, i.e. The Preparation Phase and the Battle Phase. But before joining the combat, The Preparation Phase is the crucial step where you will assemble your squad that will help you win the battle. Here are the Important mechanics that you need to keep in mind during the Preparation Phase:

  • Before the Battle Phase begins, you will be given a minute for the Team build Phase to prepare your squad.
  • Three Characters will be automatically added to your roster as suggestions at the very beginning.
  • Maximum of 6 Apostles are required to participate in a game.
  • Use the limited coins carefully to create the most effective setup by including the best Apostles in your team.
  • After clearing a wave, you'll re-enter the team build phase and earn additional coins, which can be spent on acquiring new Apostle cards or improving your team composition.
  • Once an Apostle is defeated during a wave, they can be resurrected during the next team building phase through coins.
  • Each new wave gives you another opportunity to rebuild and strengthen your team for the upcoming battles.

Role Overview

Based on their abilities, there are basically 3 main roles in Chibi GO that need to be fulfilled to make a great team, that are - Tanks, DPS and Supporters.

Tanks - Tanks are the guardian of the team that act as the frontline of the team because of their high HP and durability with damage mitigation skills. Tank players are mainly focused on protecting their allies from incoming attacks.

DPS Units - DPS characters are the main source of damage dealers of the team that have the most impact in the game. The game offers a variety of them, ranging from short range attackers to long range snipers.

Supporters - As the name suggests, Supporters are the characters that provide help and support to the team by offering various utilities through healing, shields, debuffs, and other boosts. Supporters give your team more durability and attack power by healing Tanks and boosting the DPS unit's attack power.

Team Positioning

Another aspect of building a strong team also requires you to place your Apostles correctly. If you are a beginner or someone who is confused to do so, follow these three instructions:

  • Place 2 Tanks ahead in the frontline to soak up damage from the enemies.
  • You can either place 2 or 3 DPS units in the middle section based on their attack types. If they are short ranged then place them in center while long ranged DPS goes to the backline.
  • Support units need to be protected as they are vital in longer battles. Therefore, including 1 or 2 of them in the midline or the backline is strongly recommended.

Character Affinity

Each character comes with a unique character affinity that are the main elemental personalities for them. The game has a system that governs how these elemental affinities work against each other. There are a total of 5 main character affinities –

  • Blue represents Depressed
  • Green represents Innocence
  • Yellow represents Vivacious
  • Red represents Madness
  • Blue represents Composed

Moreover, the system governing these character traits says that:

  • Green (Innocence) is strong against Blue (Composed) while it is weak against Red (Madness).
  • Blue (Composed) is strong against Red (Madness) while it is weak against Green (Innocence).
  • Red (Madness) is strong against Green (Innocence) while it is weak against Blue (Composed).
  • Yellow (Vivacious) and Blue (Depressed) are weaker against each other but stronger against others.

Fighting against a stronger affinity hero will increase the damage received by 75% while fighting against a weaker one will increase the damage dealt by 150%. Therefore, it is important to use the correct affinities to counter your enemy characters in Trickcal: Chibi Go.
