Honkai Impact 3 version 8.7, titled "Passage to New Dawns," is now live and brings one of the game's most content-rich updates yet. At the center of this release is a brand-new S-rank battlesuit for Raiden Mei called Xentinel: Dawnbearing Crescent. This MECH-type Physical DMG dealer is defined by Astral Ring Specialization: Grail of Infinitude, a mechanic that shapes her combat style and ties directly into the new weapons and stigmata released alongside her. The lore surrounding Xentinel: Dawnbearing Crescent is woven into the fabric of the update itself. The story behind the battlesuit begins with a child's quiet wish for protection in the dark, conjuring a guardian spirit that rides the wind and wields a crescent moon as a weapon. That spirit now crosses from myth into the game's reality, arriving just as the old year turns to new. It is a poetic framing that reflects how Honkai Impact 3 has always treated its characters as more than combat units.
To support Xentinel: Dawnbearing Crescent in battle, the Arsenal has been expanded with two new weapons. The Dawnlight of Qilin and its PRI-ARM upgrade Dawnlight of Qilin: Peaceful Age are the recommended options for her kit. Players building around Lunar Vow: Crimson Love will also find two new Divine Keys worth equipping. The Pact of Companionship and its PRI-ARM version, Pact of Companionship: Evermore, activate Astral Ring Specialization: Grail of Infinitude for that battlesuit and deliver a range of offensive and utility buffs.
Two stigmata sets round out the new gear options. The Every Year Anew set is tailored for Xentinel: Dawnbearing Crescent, while the Uncrowned Autocrat set is recommended for Lunar Vow: Crimson Love. Both sets deepen the build possibilities introduced by this patch.

The first, "Timely: An Eve's Miracle," places players in an unusual Spring Festival scenario where they discover they have become the legendary Nian Beast. Completing event missions rewards players with the new outfit "Lantern Ablaze" for Lone Destruction: Shadowchaser, along with Crystals and Spring Festival Eve's Memories Emblems. The second event, Celebration Lobby 2026, offers Crystals, Source Prisms, and the HOMU Soaring Gallop Emblem through mission completion. Additional limited-time content such as the "St. Freya Graduation Guide" is also available during this period.
Three new character outfits have joined the roster as well. Hi Love Elf receives the "Lunar Grace" outfit, Behold! Fate-Defying Dragon gets "Candied Curtains," and Lone Destruction: Shadowchaser wears "Lantern Ablaze," which ties directly into the seasonal event rewards.
On the story front, Main Story Part 2 Chapter XI Interlude, "The Night Which the Light Dreams Of," is now playable. Clearing this chapter rewards Crystals and Source Prisms while continuing the narrative that has shifted from Earth to the uncharted terrain of Mars. The broader plot of Honkai Impact 3 continues to evolve, following Valkyries as they confront the mysteries of a Martian civilization and face new threats far from home.
